Caller claimed to be from Elderguard and working with her colleague who said the company was called Elderly care. I reported his call a few minutes ago. Both offered to replace my wife's medical alarm watch with a more up to date one.
My wife has a medical alarm wrist watch. They called, pretending to be the suppliers of the watch to offer a free month's trial of a new more efficient digital version. It involved a monthly charge (free on the NHS) of £39.99, payable by direct debit, including for the free period, to pay for the monitoring service. They called the next day under another number which I shall report next.
