Callers claiming to be from Microsoft, BT, Virgin Media, Sky or your broadband provider, saying your computer has a virus or your internet is about to be cut off, then requesting remote access or payment.
How to protect yourself
Microsoft and broadband providers never call unsolicited about viruses or security problems. Never give a caller remote access to your computer or pay for "support".
